Alyssia Dotson is the stylist and educator behind Mane Seamstress Edu, where she teaches hairstylists to see hair as a fabric—not a problem to fix. Based in Plano, Texas, she brings runway-level craft to real-world salons, helping artists turn “I hope this works” into confident, intentional cutting and styling.

With a career that spans salon director at Toni & Guy, work at New York Fashion Week and StyleWeek Northeast, and countless fashion shoots, Alyssia has spent years blending classic technique with modern texture, shape, and movement. Behind the chair at her studio, Shear Peace Hair Salon, she specializes in runway-to-real-way hair for people on the go—an experience that feeds directly into her education.
