Breno Miranda

Breno Miranda is the kind of educator who makes cutting feel like a craft again—measured, intentional, and built for the way clients actually live. Based in Austin, he brings nearly two decades behind the chair as a cutting specialist and barber, including years spent working on 5th Ave and Park Ave in New York City, before relocating to Texas and stepping into his role as Lead Education Director at Strange Bird Salon.

His point of view is simple (and sharp): less is more. Breno teaches stylists to chase the right shape and texture for the client’s everyday routine—hair that behaves, grows out gracefully, and doesn’t require a complicated ritual to look good.

Education-wise, he’s hands-on and detail-obsessed: think razor fundamentals, precision refinement, and barbering skills that translate directly to better work behind the chair. Stylists can learn with him through private sessions (in-person or Zoom/video) and group workshops hosted through Strange Bird.
