Rhino Gaudet

Rhino Gaudet is a Victoria-based master colourist, cutter, and educator who has spent nearly three decades making people feel genuinely seen in the mirror. They work with clients and fellow stylists who want hair that feels like them — from soft, believable blondes and seamless grey transitions to sharp, character-filled cuts.

For almost 20 years, Rhino owned and led their own salon, learning the quiet, unglamorous truths of running a hair business day in and day out. Closing that space in 2023 wasn’t a failure — it was a turning point. They moved into an independent studio at The Gallery Salon in downtown Victoria, reimagining how a hair career can look in its “second act.”

Behind the chair, Rhino specializes in grey coverage, balayage, blonding, corrective colour, and the kind of precision cutting that makes hair fall just right for real life, not just photos.  Beyond the chair, they share practical booking and client-growth advice in conversations and education features — always grounded, never preachy.

Rhino’s vibe is calm, curious, and a little bit punk: equal parts technician, storyteller, and longtime salon kid who still believes hair can change how a person walks through the world.
