I came across this unique beauty salon on Dezeen<\/a> recently and thought I’d share it with you. Located in Omiya Japan, it was designed by Tetsuya Ito of the Tokyo firm Takara Space Design<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This 3 story salon was converted from two existing buildings (a former gallery and an old shoe repair store) into one gorgeous salon.<\/p>\n

To create the illusion of rooms, the designers have used hanging fabric screens decorated with building facades to create these wonderful intimate spaces.<\/p>\n

The chandelier hanging over the reception is made of fluorescent tube rings.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At the cutting stations, mirrors are hung across the printed window fabric screens to create the illusion of a real opening.<\/p>\n

I love the use of printed fabric and whimsy that has been created in this salon, simple yet effective.<\/p>\n
