Norman Boulton

Norman Boulton (aka THE NB) is a Highgate-based colour specialist and educator who helps stylists turn “vivid” from intimidating into addictive—in the best way. He started early (apprenticing in London at 15, prom suit and CV in hand), and built his name in the Not Another world by scrapping what he knew, retraining, and grafting his way up to senior colourist and a loved educator.

His work is all punchy placement and polish: colour-blocking, bold panels, and transformations that still respect the hair’s condition—because “bright” hits different when it’s shiny and wearable. In class, Norman’s known for his “love and light” way of teaching: a calm, safe space where students can ask the “obvious” questions and finally get unstuck.

Now freelance in North London, he blends booked-out client work with education—online, in-person, and international dates—inviting stylists who want cleaner formulas, smarter placement, and more fearless colour decisions to come learn with him.
