Waterproof your smartphone

While catching up on some of the great coverage of this years CES (Consumer Electronics Show) we stumbled across this really awesome looking new company called Liquipel.  

Their promise is simple, send them your smartphone (and about $60) and they’ll coat your phone with their liquipel product to completely waterproof  it inside and out!  How cool, no more worries at the back bar if your iPhone slips out of your pocket and into the sink.

The product is applied as a vapour and then bonded at the molecular level to your device.  What’s extra cool is you can’t even feel the coating, it’s invisible.

Now the hard part is going to be whether I can be without my iPhone for a couple of days while they coat it … yikes!
