Flying hair

Check out this stunning slow-motion video of Lilly Donaldson’s flying hair that we found over at Nowness.com.  It is totally incredible to see all the movement and beauty hidden away in what is just two seconds of video stretched out to just under two minutes.

For those of you who don’t know Lilly, she is a British model who has graced the cover of many a Vogue magazine, even appearing on three at one time.

Her hair is done by Sam McKnight who for this piece channeled the classic work of Ara Gallant, the famous sixties session stylist, whom many consider to be the creator of the flying hair look.

The video is actually directed by Lilly’s father, Matthew Donaldson.  The dreamy music is by Zero 7.
