Season’s Greetings from your friends at salonMonster HQ!
We are pleased to announce that we’ve updated the salonMonster application with some much-needed holiday functionality.

 

Make Some Room

Want to add some extra openings to your calendar this holiday season? You can now set “Additional Openings” to allow clients to book when you would normally be closed. For example, if you don’t normally work on Mondays but want to open up one Monday for bookings before Christmas you can now do so. To set up an additional opening simply click on the “Settings” tab, click on hours/vacations and then click the  button. Once an additional opening is set it will allow clients to book during those hours for that day, instead of the default hours you normally work. Your calendar will now display that day without the usual grey shading.

A Little History
As an extra bonus we have also added a quick and easy way to view a client’s “History” while booking or editing an appointment. The booking window now sports two tabs in the far right column labeled “Notes” and “History.”


“Notes” allows you to view “Client Notes” for the current booking as well as to add your own “Service Details,” like color formulas and products used.

If you click on the “History” tab you’ll now see a scrollable list of the client’s past appointments. This gives you easier access to your previous color formulas and notes. In addition, the price you enter for each appointment will now be recorded as part of the client’s history.

Mobile Update
We’re excited to announce that we have a new team member. Kamil is working hard on our new iPhone and Android application and we hope to have it ready soon. 

Invoicing
We’re changing our billing provider to give you monthly invoicing, which will be implemented by the end of the month. You may have noticed that we haven’t been emailing monthly invoices. Oops. We will, however, be sending you invoices for the backdated payments shortly. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the billing process.

Maintenance Downtime

We will be performing some maintenance on Saturday, December 10 at 11:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Service should be interrupted for a mere five minutes or less. We hope this does not inconvenience you.
