The grey Areas of Merchant Accounts
As a chair renting stylist myself I understand the many pitfalls of being a business owner. At the top of the list for me is my merchant provider. I have had several run-ins with agreements I had apparently made without ever having signed a contract. As many of you may know, within your Terms and Conditions, that many of us probably don’t even read as thoroughly as we should, there are several agreements that you make without ever realizing it. The first for me was that I had agreed to a 3 year contract and that they could change our agreement without notice. Not much of a contract huh.
Well I recently came across an article on www.practicalcommerce.com in which Phil Hinke will introduce you to several tidbits that we should all understand before making an agreement with a merchant services provider. Please read this and then follow the links in the article to learn all you can about your rights.
