A recent poll of more than 1,00 American women shows why people choose salons. It may be surprising to hear the majority of people still choose their hair salon based on a friend or family recommendation. This type of recommendation accounts for 50% of new customers at salons. So great haircuts really are your best form of advertising.

All other forms of advertising only account for 24% of new visits, so while they can have some impact on the bottom line the best way to get new clients is to make sure your impress your existing ones.
