Aesop in Grand Central Station

Australian skincare brand Aesop launched a kiosk in Grand Central station in New York made from over 1000 old copies of New York Times newspapers.

The kiosk was created by stacking, tearing, and binding the papers in a wooden frame that was then topped with sheets of powder-coated aluminum which the products sit on.

Aesop, which has been around since 1987, is known for creative material choices when designing their stores. For their first foray into the US market, they chose Brooklyn architect Jeremy Barbour of Tacklebox to create this innovative shop located in the heart of New York.

If you’re passing through the Graybar Passage in Grand Central Station, check out this great kiosk.
