Based in Pasadena at Onyx on Madison, the salon he co-founded, Daniel Mora Ayala is self-taught and self-made, spending years refining color techniques that translate across hair types and goals before teaching those methods to stylists around the world. When the industry paused in 2020, it sharpened his vision for a space where artists could grow with real support and clients could exhale while getting exceptional hair — Onyx on Madison was the answer. Today his work spans major brand stages and behind-the-chair innovation, from serving as a Wella Professionals ambassador to collaborating on extension solutions built for speed and consistency.
