Questions
What salons ask before the first sale.
Does point of sale cost extra?
No. It is included in every plan. Plans start at $30 a month for one person, plus $15 a month for each additional staff member.
Do I have to use your payment processing?
No. Integrated payments are there if you want them. You can also keep your own terminal, or take cash and e-transfer, and record the payment at checkout.
Can I keep my current card terminal?
Yes. Take the payment on your terminal and record it in salonMonster as an external payment. The sale still appears in your sales reports.
What does card processing cost?
If you use salonMonster Payments, the rates for Canada and the United States are published on our payment processing page, and there are no monthly fees. If you use your own terminal, you pay your own processor as usual.
Can I ring up someone who does not have an appointment?
Yes. Start a walk-in sale, add the products or services, take the payment and give them a receipt.
Can I sell gift cards?
Yes. You can sell physical gift cards and e-gift cards sent by email, track their balances and redeem them at checkout.
How do tips work?
With the integrated card reader, the tip prompt appears on the reader for your client. With your own terminal, you enter the tip at checkout so it is recorded with the sale.
Am I locked in?
No. salonMonster is month to month with no contract. The first 14 days are free with no credit card, and if you pay and change your mind in your first 30 days, you get a full refund.
