A cancellation is not the problem.
Chaos is.

How it goes

From cancelled to rebooked.

  1. 01

    The ask

They want in. You are full.

Add the client to your wait list, or let them add themselves from your booking page.

  2. 02

    The details

    What they want, and when.

Each entry holds the service, a date range, their availability and any notes.

  3. 03

    The opening

A two-hour colour cancels on Friday.

Open the wait list and find the clients whose service and availability fit the gap.

  4. 04

    The booking

Book them straight from the list.

Reach out to the best match, then use Book to put the appointment on your calendar.

From behind the chair

“I love the notifications and email reminders, the waiting list is fantastic, and it’s so easy for clients to book and cancel online.”

The No-Trap Promise

A wait list should help you fill a gap. It should not make decisions for you.

No auto-booking.

Nobody lands on your calendar unless you put them there.

No extra app.

Clients join from your booking page. There is nothing new for them to download.

Private or open.

Keep the list to yourself, or let clients add themselves. It is one setting.

No empty promises.

A wait list improves your chances of refilling a spot. It cannot guarantee it.

Questions

What salons ask about the wait list.

Can clients add themselves to my wait list?

Yes, if you turn it on. When the day a client picks on your booking page has no time that suits, they can add themselves to your wait list.

Can I keep the wait list private?

Yes. Leave client sign-up off and add people to the list yourself.

Does it fill cancellations automatically?

No. When a spot opens you look at who is waiting, get in touch with the client you choose, and book them in. Nothing is booked without you.

What does a wait list entry include?

The service the client wants, the range of dates they are hoping for, their availability, and any notes.

Does the wait list cost extra?

No. The wait list is part of the salonMonster app. Plans start at $30 a month for one person.
