It’s been a while since our last architect/design post, so I was delighted to come across this beautiful salon located in Japan. Designed by Maker architects, Very Hair is the stylish new salon on the block.
By using untreated wood on the walls and booths, the architects have created a minimal and calm environment.
Draped transparent gauze hangs from the ceiling to create enclosed spaces for the reception, hair washing, and waiting areas. The fabric drapes down and is pocketed in the wooden booths.
To make efficient use of the space, the wood walls were designed to double as magazine racks and a television cubby in the waiting areas.
Great ideas and great design have come together to create a wonderful ambiance and unique, cool minimalist hair salon.
